Video Shows Suspect with Hammer Damaging Marino's Market

The following article is based on a Boston Police report.

Surveillance video provided to Boston Police showed a suspect broke a window of Marino's Market and Deli on Centre Street.

The assistant manager told police that he found the broken window upon opening up on July 27, and that nothing was missing, according to a Boston Police report.

Police viewed the surveillance video that had a timestamp at 10:42 when a white male, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, walk from Park Street to the front of the building. The suspect then removed what appeared to be a hammer with a long wood handle from inside his waistband of his shorts. The head of the hammer looked like it had a white cloth or bag on it, and then the suspect swung the hammer and hit the lower right glass panel, leaving a large home in the window.
