A West Roxbury man allegedly yelled at a Boston Police officer, leading to his arrest for failing to stop for a police officer.

On Nov. 6 around 11:55 a.m., Pedro Nova, of 77 Clement St. #1, West Roxbury, was arrested and charged with failure to stop for a police officer and a red light violation.

An officer saw the suspect drive a Toyota Camry through a red light at Centre Street going inbound at Weld Street in Roslindale. The officer flagged the driver to the right, according to a Boston Police report. The driver moved over to the right slowing down, but did not stop, then drove off. The officer followed the vehicle and to Centre and Walter streets, and was able to get the drive to pull over.

The officer told the driver he failed to stop at a red light, and asked why he didn't pull over for the officer. When the officer asked for his driver's license, the suspect allegedly started yelling and said the light was yellow, according to a police report. The officer said the driver made no attempt at trying to get his license for the officer. The officer then informed the driver he was being arrested.
