West Roxbury Man Threatens Boston Police After Arrest

Jonathan Holcomb was arrested Monday night on Appleton Street. The following information is from the BPD, and charges do not indicate a conviction.

 

A 34-year-old West Roxbury man allegedly threatened to assault Boston Police officers Monday night on Appleton Street after they placed him under arrest for breaking and entering into a motor vehicle.

Jonathan Holcomb was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. Monday. He was charged with entering a motor vehicle and being in possession of burglarious tools.

According to a witness, Holcomb used an item to break a motor vehicle’s window on Appleton Street. He then rummaged through the vehicle and fled on foot toward Berkeley Street, the witness told police.

Officers located Holcomb, who they said they recognized from similar incidents in the past, on Appleton Street shortly after speaking with the witness. They later found a metal spark plug on Holcomb, which they believe he used to break the vehicle’s window.

After Holcomb was placed under arrest, he became aggressive with the officers and made threats to physically assault them, according to police.
