West Roxbury Police Arrest Juvenile for Armed Robbery in Roslindale

Boston police officers from West Roxbury's District E-5 department arrested a 14-year-old Dorchester juvenile after responding to a report of an armed robbery in Roslindale, according to the Boston Police Department

Officers responded to a radio call in the area of Fairview and Symmes streets in Roslindale at around 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25. Upon arrival, police spoke to a victim who claimed she had been walking on Conway Street when she was approached by an indvidual described as a 5-foot, 5-inch black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. 

The man allegedly grabbed the victim's arm from behind and demanded her to give him her belongings while brandishing a knife, police said. During a brief struggle, the juvenile allegedly swung the knife at the victim and was able to steal her black Prada briefcase before fleeing the scene toward Fairview Street.

Police later found an young man matching the suspect's description near Birch Street and Belgrade Avenue in Roslindale, and officers were able to recover a knife from the suspect. Police were also able to recover the victim's missing credit cards, found in the space between the suspect's cell phone and cell phone case, according to police. 

The juvenile was charged with delinquent to wit, armed robbery and resisting arrest.
