Should Bars, Restaurants Stay Open Later in Boston?
A proposed plan would allow certain venues to remain open until 3:30 a.m.
Last call may be getting pushed back in Boston.
Boston Mayor Martin Walsh is looking at a plan that would keep several bars and restaurants throughout the city open until 3:30 a.m., CBS Boston reported Friday.
As part of the plan, certain neighborhoods in Boston would be allowed to serve alcohol until 2:30 a.m., with doors closing an hour later. Currently, the majority of bars close at 2 a.m., according to the report.

The Mayor told WBZ NewsRadio on Friday that the plan factors in a social aspect of the move as well as looking at the local economy and looking at "attracting talent to Boston," according to the report.
Walsh is currently looking at creating a task force to look into the plan, which could be implemented in time for the launch of late-night MBTA service in the city, according to the report.
