Former Boston Mayor Tom Menino will be among those at the event Tuesday.

Several city officials, including former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and City Councilors Rob Consalvo and John Tobin are set to hold an event in West Roxbury Tuesday night for Steve Kerrigan's campaign for Lt. Governor, officials said.

Menino has reportedly endorsed Kerrigan in his bid for Lt. Governor of Massachusetts. Kerrigan is a former aid to Sen. Ted Kennedy and former Attorney General Tom Reilly, and previously ran both inaugural ceremonies for President Barack Obama and the Democratic National Convention, according to officials.

Kerrigan is currently the head of the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund, which aims to help Massachusetts families who have lost loved ones in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He's also a former selectman and Finance Committee member in his hometown of Lancaster, according to officials.
