Connolly's Mom Asks for Votes at Holy Name, Says She Supports Son for Mayor

The former chief justice of the Massachusetts District Court was a happy smiling mom outside Holy Name in support of her son, John Connolly.

As the waning minutes ticked away for voters to cast their ballots, the former chief justice of the Massachusetts District Court, Lynda Connolly, was asking people to vote for her son, West Roxbury's John Connolly.

"I think he's the best candidate for many reasons," smiled the very proud mother while talking to West Roxbury Patch. "I'm delighted to be a part of the effort."

After complimenting the strong campaign her son has run, Lynda smiled and sasid, "I'm completely objective when I say that."

The former judge, who works at Simmons College now, said she hasn't had to give advice to her son during the campaign.

"I don't think he's needed my advice. He's ran a great campaign that's focused on the issues," said Lynda Connolly, as she continued to pass out literature in support of her son.
