Future of Boston's Urban Agriculture Meeting at Roche Center

Rooftop farms, farmers markets and stands, and more will be discussed at the public meeting at the Roche Family Community Center on Wednedsay night.


Rooftop farms in Boston - it could happen, and residents are wanted to share their thoughts on zoning and the future of urban agriculture in the city.

Boston is developing a new zoning code to address issues such as soil safety, commercial ground level and rooftop farms, composting, and hen and beekeeping.

City officials are holding 11 meetings across the city, with a meeting on Wednesday, July 10, at the Roche Family Community Center at 1716 Centre St., West Roxbury, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This is the only scheduled meeting for the West Roxbury and Roslindale communities.
