Hazardous Waste Drop Off Day in West Roxbury on June 29

Dispose of things like oil-based paint, pesticides, bleach, weed killers, and more.

This Saturday, June 29, Boston residents can drop off household hazardous waste to be disposed of for free. 

Residents may bring up to 50 pounds of products labeled toxic, flammable, reactive, corrosive, or poisonous, such as: oil-based paint, motor oil, pesticides, solvents, glues, bleach or ammonia-based cleaners, weed killers, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, car batteries, and used motor oil. Note: Latex or acrylic (water-based) paints are no longer accepted at hazardous waste days. They are not hazardous and can be safely disposed at home.

Residents must be prepared to show proof of residency in order to be able to drop anything off. 

The hazardous disposal day is on June 29 at the West Roxbury Public Works Yard, 315 Gardner St, West Roxbury, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
