Officials to Discuss Allandale Woods Urban Wild at Community Meeting

The meeting will be held in West Roxbury Monday night.

City officials plan to hold a community meeting in West Roxbury Monday regarding efforts to make access improvements to the Allandale Woods Urban Wild.

Officials with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department are seeking community members to help determine how access and way-finding improvements would look and function in the area in the future. 

The meeting is set to be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 23 at he Arnold Arboretum's Weld Hill Research Building, 1300 Centre St. in West Roxbury.

Representatives from Kyle Zick Landscape Architecture, as well as the Parks Department Project Manager will be on hand to give a presentation regarding the scope of the project. 

The presentation, additionally, will include details of improvements to the trail-heads, site access, signage an vegetation, as well as the existing site conditions, according to the parks and recreation department.
