O’Malley Thanks Voters After Being Reelected

District 6 Councilor Matt O'Malley said he is grateful to have the opportunity to serve the people and neighborhoods that he loves.

Boston City Councilor Matt O’Malley thanked voters in a written letter this week after being elected to a third term by District 6.

“I am proud of my record and I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve the people and neighborhoods that I know and love,” O’Malley said. “In the past three years, I believe that I have amassed a record of delivering for the residents of my district and for citizens citywide.  However, I am just getting started."

O'Malley took over 85 percent of the vote with over 17,000 votes to defeat challenger Luis Valerio of West Roxbury last Tuesday, according to unofficial city figures.
