Hopefully, you have the day off from labor. See what's open and what's closed.

Monday, September 3, 2012 is Labor Day.

The following is from the City of Boston's website:

Municipal offfices are CLOSED, including Boston City Hall, libraries, community centers and indoor pools.

Public pools are closed, except for the Clougherty and Mirabella pools, which are open until 7:30 p.m.

Parking meters are FREE across the city. Other parking rules remain in effect.

The Transportation Department has issued a Traffic Advisory & Parking Restrictions related to students moving in.

Due to the Labor Day Holiday, trash and recycling collection are ONE day late for the remainder of week (except Boston Proper, Roxbury, Charlestown, and South Boston).

Try not to get towed, because the Tow Lot is CLOSED Sunday through Monday.

There will be no street sweeping on Monday during daytime hours, but overnight sweeping from midnight to 7 a.m. will proceed as scheduled.

And the MBTA is operating on a Sunday schedule. Click on this link - www.mbta.com - for details.
