Catholic Memorial Students Honored for Work at Model UN Security Council

Paul Fantozzi and Alex Masferrer received the "Best Delegate" award at the Middle School Model UN Conference at Clark University.

Two Catholic Memorial seventh-graders are receiving recognition for their show of diplomacy at a model UN Security Council meeting this past weekend, according to the West Roxbury school

Paul Fantozzi and Alex Masferrer represented Rwanda at the council, and guided the pass of a peace resolution in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict at the Middle School Model UN Conference at Clark University, according to the school.

The effort earned the students a "Best Delegate" award, considered to be the "highest award given at the Model UN conferences," CM reported.

Fellow student delegates Lorenzo Capasso and Michael Maloney also attended, representing Mexico for the UN-Habitat committee, while Delegate Sean Parker represented Kenya.
