Catholic Memorial Track Earns Two All-State Titles with 5th Place Finish
The 4x100-meter relay team earned the school's first MIAA All-State title in the event.
The undefeated 4x100-meter relay team of David Berment, Hanif Conrad, and Curtis West made history on Tuesday night, earning the school’s first MIAA All-State title in the event on their way to a 5th place team finish.
The team ran the relay in 42.69 seconds, besting 2nd-place Lawrence High by fractions of a second at the meet, held at Fitchburg State. It was their personal best of the season – an improvement of .39 seconds over their Division II championship time earned the week before.

How did they improve so much in one week?
"Their passes improved and were more crisp," said head coach Vin Catano, "and of course, it's a grander stage. It's the ultimate.”

This Saturday, the team intends to run at the New England Championships in Saco, ME.
Senior Donovan Henry, earned his second individual All-State title as well on Tuesday, recording a time of 21.87 seconds in the 200-meter dash. Henry, who will run for Northeastern next year, earned an All-State title in the 300-meter event in February.
Curtis West (4th, 100m) and Dennis Muldoon (15th, 2-mile) also contributed to CM’s fifth-place finish on Tuesday.
