Mt. Washington Bank 2012 Scholarship Applications Now Available

A total of $15,000 in total scholarships will be available to students. The application deadline is is May 18th.

For the 19th year, is seeking applications for its community scholarship program. Scholarships of $1,000 for tuition based high school students and $2,000 for college/university students will be awarded to those selected. A total of $15,000 in total scholarships will be available.

This year’s categories are college university students, tuition high school students and adult learners pursuing job training/development courses.

Students who reside in or attend school in the following neighborhoods are eligible to apply: Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Roslindale, South Boston, South End and West Roxbury. Applications are available at all Mt. Washington Bank office locations as well as local libraries and social service agencies.

Completed applications are due no later than May 18th and will be evaluated by a committee drawn from the education community.

Each applicant will receive notification by mail if they were selected for an award.
