Opening Day Events Planned for West Roxbury Farmers Market Sunday

Sunday will feature a bike-themed opening day event with the Boston Cyclists Union.

Fans of last year's Corey Street Farmers Market in West Roxbury can rejoice to see the market return this weekend. 

The market will open Sunday, June 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a special opening day bike-themed event

Ben Goodman of the Boston Cyclists Union will be on site to encourage patrons to get on bicycles and ride, also providing free help with bike repairs and maps for biking in Boston. Bike safety accessors, including $5 bike helmets and a $10 discount on membership to the BCU will also be available at the event on Sunday.

The market will be located in the Bank of America parking lot at 1857 Centre St. in West Roxbury. This year's market will feature weekly events, including live entertainment, demonstrations, food trucks, children's activities and more. 

Four Community Supported Agriculture shares will be available this year, as well, including two CSAs for fruits and vegetables, a fish share and a new Community-Supported Baking share. Also new this year, SNAP clients can use EBT cards to shop at the market and get up to $10 off purchases.
