West on Centre Celebrates 10th Anniversary with New Signage, Logo

Patrons of West on Centre in West Roxbury may notice something different about the restaurant these days. 

The local dining venue is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, as as part of the celebration has installed new signs and unveiled a new logo to further solidify its landmark location at the head of Centre Street in West Roxbury. 

"This positioning is so deeply rooted in our identity as a community destination, and has been for the last 10 years," said Bonnie Owens, Social Media Marketing Manager with West on Centre. "We're celebrating our 10th anniversary this summer and wanted to do something special, so we decided on a new logo and new signs. New look, fresh seasonal menu updates, same great quality."

The restaurant sought out a local flavor from nearby artisans, Owens said, and chose Jamaica Plain-based Best Dressed Sings to help with the new design. 

"We chose the 'ghost sign' look for our new signs, a vintage look that conveys longevity, because we're not changing our winning recipe with the new logo, just making it more visible," she said. "West on Centre has been a stable on Centre Street for 10 years, and the classic, hand-painted logo on our brick facade conveys just that."

To further celebrate the new signage, West on Centre is running a social media promotion for the next four weeks, Owens said. 

As part of that promotion, which begins on Tuesday, June 18, guests are invited to take a selfie picture with the logo, be it the new signs out front or on the restaurant's newly-updated menu or cocktail list, and post it online. 

Participants who do so and tag @WestOnCentre on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #WestRoxbury will be entered to win a $100 gift certificate.
