If you're new to the sport of hockey and interested in learning how to play, head over to the Jim Roche Ice Arena in West Roxbury next Thursday.

The Boston Bruins and FMC Ice Sports will be heading to arena next week to host a free clinic featuring skating and hockey lessons as part of FMC's Get Out And Learn (GOAL) program.

The clinic will take place on Thursday, May 1 from 5:30-6:20 p.m. at the arena, 1275 VFW Pkwy in West Roxbury.

The event is meant to provide a fun, game-based environment for kids aged 4-15 who may be new to hockey or skating.

Blades, the Bruins mascot, will be on-hand at the clinic with the Bruins Youth Hockey Developmental Team to work with new skaters.

Skates, helmets and hockey gear will be provided free of charge at the event.
