Finish Line Set for 2014 Boston Marathon

The Boston Athletic Association also plans to hang two banners in honor of those affected by last year's events.

Crews on Tuesday morning took to Boylston Street in Boston to lay down the finish line for the 2014 Boston Marathon, Boston.com reported

The finish line is traditionally laid in place in advance of the race, which this year takes place on Monday, April 21, according to the report. 

This year's even twill be the first for runners since last year's tragic bombings near the finish line that killed three people and injured nearly 300 others.

Meanwhile, the Boston Athletic Association, which organizes the Boston Marathon, has plans to hang two banners near the finish line this year to honor those who were affected by last year's bombings, according to Boston.com.
