Mount Alvernia Softball Qualifies for MIAA Playoffs
The team's first playoff game will be on Sunday, June 1.
Mount Alvernia High School's varsity softball team has qualified for the MIAA North Division 3 playoffs.
The team, which comprises several students from West Roxbury, Roslindale and Hyde Park, went 16-2, has the No. 2 seed in the tournament.
The team will take on the winner of Friday's Austin Prep-Greater Lawrence game on Sunday, June 1 at 1 p.m. at Mount Alvernia.
