Parkway Pop Warner will be holding a weeklong football and cheerleading activity week this July.
The program is slated to begin just after the Independence Day holiday weekend and run from July 7-11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, according to Parkway Pop Warner.
Co-sponsored by The Link Boston, the non-contact program will take place at Billings Field in West Roxbury.
The sessions will begin with exercises each day, and football participants will focus on learning individual and team skills, including offense, defense and special teams, as well as engaging in drills and playing games.
Cheerleading participants, meanwhile, will learn jumps, chants, cheers and basic stunts.
The cost for the program is $50 per person; no experience is necessary to participate. All athletes will receive a tee shirt and participate in contests and give aways, as well as take part in a water day.
Football participants will need to bring sneakers and football cleats, while cheerleaders will need to bring sneakers. All athletes will need to bring a bag lunch daily, as well as a labeled water bottle.
