Participants of the Coppinger Court Hockey Developmental League have been very active this fall.

The developmental league is an introduction to hockey for youngsters  ages, 3-6 and played Saturday afternoons at Fallon Field in Roslindale.

The league is separate from the Coppinger Court Hockey League, which  reached a maximum capacity within 75 minutes of registration opening last June.

During the summer league, 255 players, ages, 5-14, made up 15 teams and competed for the Gormley Cup, the league's version of the Stanley Cup, generously donated by Lord Mayor of West Roxbury Richie Gormley.

The league's lead sponsor was  state Rep. Ed Coppinger.
