West Roxbury Boy Playing in International Hockey Tournament

West Roxbury 12-year-old Frankie Linso is heading to Quebec as a member of the Boston Junior Bruins Pee Wee Major Team to compete in the International Pee Wee Youth Hockey and Bernier St. Redempteur Tournament in February. 

Linso  is one of 18 Pee Wee major players who will compete this year.  His team is made up of players from Brighton, Brookline, Cambridge, Dedham, Hyde Park, Natick, Needham, and South Boston.  

The Boston Junior Bruins team will face teams from the US, Canada, and Europe during their 10 day tournament.  Parkway hockey players have attended this tournament for over 30 years.

Linso, a student at Boston Latin, has been playing hockey since age 4.  He and his teammates are currently working to raise $45,000 to help fund their trip. 

Linso is soliciting contributions from local businesses and has worked to seek donations large or small.  Anyone can make a non-profit, tax deductible contribution to The Boston Junior Bruins, c/o Mr. Mike Cashman, 28 Sanderson Place, Brighton, MA 02135.
