Cooling Off with Wet Fun at Hynes Playground in West Roxbury
You know what's better than ice cream? Free ice cream thanks to the Boston Police Department.
The cheapest and most fun way to cool off in West Roxbury is definitely the spray tot lot at Hynes Playground.
On Wednesday, the Boston Parks & Recreation Department hosted a Splash Dance Party for residents to beat the heat. Kids danced to amplified music while dashing through the water spray.
The Boston Police Department also gave out free Hoodsie's ice cream, and free Hawaiian leis from the Boston Parks Department. Free sunblock from the Boston Public Health Commission was also being handed out.
