My Candidate in this Election

#thevote This is what I will have in mind when I got to the polling place on Tuesday.

I’ve not taken part in any of the political discussions, either my blog or on the various social media groups out there in cyberspace. That’s not going to change now.

Dear reader, I’m not going to say whether I’m voting for Obama or Romney. I might be voting for your guy, or I might be voting for the other guy. But please be assured that my vote will be cast for the candidate who – to my mind and after my own lengthy consideration of each one’s accomplishments, character, and vision for our country - is the better one to lead America for the next four years.

The vast majority of our fellow citizens are eager to go to the polls on Tuesday and to exercise their sacred right to vote; to entrust the formidable power of our nation to the best person for the job; to choose those who will lead the nation. How many people have died to secure that right for us?

We owe them, they who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this noble land, a vote for the candidate who will be superior to the other in carrying out the enormous duty of preserving, protecting, and defending that land and all that it stands for.

That’s the reason I am voting for the candidate I’ve chosen.

I suspect that just about everyone who reads this feels likewise.
