Former NFL Player Hernandez Indicted for Two More Murders
Former NFL player Aaron Hernandez has now been charged in three murders and a civil lawsuit accused him of a fourth shooting.
Former New England Patriot tight end Aaron Hernandez has been indicted for a July 2012 double murder, bringing the number of murders Hernandez has been implicated in to three.
A Suffolk County Grand Jury has indicted Hernandez for a double murder in Boston's South End in July 2012, MyFoxBoston reported Thursday.
Boston Police began investigating Hernandez's possible connection with the double homicide last summer, not long after he was arrested and charged with the June 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd in North Attleboro. Hernandez and two accomplices are accused committing Lloyd's execution style slaying near an industrial park close to where Hernandez's lived at the time.

Lloyd was a semi-professional football player who became friends with Hernandez, ABC News reported. At the time of the murder, Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancé.
The South End double murder occurred almost a year earlier on July 16, 2012.

Unlike the Lloyd case, there is no connection between Hernandez and the victims, District Attorney Dan Conley said, in a press conference Thursday morning.
On the night of July 16, 2012, Boston police said a gray SUV with Rhode Island license plates pulled up to a silver BMW at an intersection, and an occupant of the SUV opened fire, killing Daniel deAbreu and Safiro Furtado and injuring a third person.
Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said Furtado and deAbreu were just two, innocent victims that had a chance encounter with Hernandez at a nightclub that lead to their deaths.
CNN reported that Hernandez and another man, Alexander Bradley, were seen following Furtado and deAbreu into the club. The men were then seen on security cameras in the nightclub and also were seen driving an SUV that was following Furtado and deAbreu through Boston.
Hernandez also was accused of shooting Bradley in a separate incident in a civil lawsuit.
The June 2013 lawsuit alleged that Hernandez shot Bradley after the two argued in a strip club in February of that year. In that incident, Bradley, a friend of Hernandez, stated that after they left the club Hernandez pointed a gun at him and it discharged sending a bullet into his arm that traveled up to his face and caused him to lose his right eye.
Hernandez was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 draft by the New England Patriots. After two years in the league, he signed a contract extension in August 2012 that was worth $40 million. The Patriots voided the contract and the guaranteed money Hernandez was to get after he was charged in Lloyd's murder, CBS Boston reported.
