3 West Roxbury High Schools Play in Turkey Bowls

1. Three West Roxbury teams will play on Thanksgiving Day:

West Roxbury (3-7) @ Randolph (0-11)

O’Bryant (8-3) @ Madison Park(5-5) 

BC High (5-6)   @ Catholic Memorial (5-5)

2. West Roxbury officials will be delivering Thanksgiving groceries from Roche Bros. to families and seniors in need. The West Roxbury Business and Professional Association along with the Boston Police Department, West Roxbury YMCA and Ethos/AgeWell West Roxbury will deliver the groceries to over 80 families and seniors at 9:30 am. on Tuesday. Volunteers are needed.

3. On Tuesday, Kaori Litwinsky, expert origamist, will show kids how to make beautiful animals with this simple paper-folding technique at the West Roxbury Library.  The event begins at 4 p.m.

4. Registration is now open for the annual Walter’s Run, which is held every December in West Roxbury. This year’s race will begin at the West Roxbury YMCA at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8. Register HERE.

5. Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah have led Hebrew SeniorLife on the Dedham/West Roxbury line to create Thanksgivukkah.  The Hebrew SeniorLife is planning the largest celebration of the holiday which will take place at NewBridge on the Charles in Dedham on Nov. 28 noon to 3 pm.   Over 800 seniors are expected to join with their family members who will will sit down to group Thanksgivukkah dinners making this the largest Thanksgivukkah feast in the greater Boston area.
