Election, Networking Night, and Knitting This Week in West Roxbury

A look at the week ahead in West Roxbury.

1.  Election Day is Tuesday. Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. West Roxbury residents will decide on the next Mayor of Boston, District 6 City Councillor and for four Councillors at Large:

2. Boston business owners are invited to taste various wines from all around the world at a networking event in at Sophia Snow Place on Nov. 6 from  5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

3.  If you would like to make a donation to help our State Representative Ed Coppinger, who is again organizing the effort to install Christmas/Holiday lighting in the business district, Make your check payable to "Raise Some Green for West Roxbury" and mail to Post Office Box 320610, West Roxbury, MA  02132.  For more information, please call Rep. 4. Drop-in Knitting will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the West Roxbury branch of the Boston Public Library. 

5. Mah-Jongg For All will be held Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the West Roxbury branch of the Boston Public Library. Lessons will be available for new players-refresher for experienced players.
