Boston Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest
The Boston Elks will hold a 2013-2014 Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest on Friday, Dec. 27 at the Roche Family Community Center in West Roxbury.
The contest will feature girls and boys, aged 8-13 years; age groups are determined by their ages as of April 1, 2014. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and the contest will run from 12-3 p.m. For more information, contact Gavin Flanagan at 617-930-2309.

Holiday Skating Exhibition
The Jim Roche Arena on the VFW Parkway in West Roxbury will host a holiday skating exhibition on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m.

Local figure skating students will take to the ice on Saturday, and the event will be followed by public skating. Admission is $2.
Tubing at Fenway Park: Citi Frozen Fenway 2014
Feel like tubing at Fenway Park? This weekend is your chance. As part of Citi Frozen Fenway 2014, a 17-day ice event that runs through Saturday, Dec. 28, the park is featuring a "monster" 20-foot high sledding tubing ramp.
The sled has a 75-foot run that features five separate paths and end at the Red Sox bullpen. For more information, click here.
Disney on Ice
Wrap up the holiday week with a family trip to the Agganis Arena, which will host Disney On Ice at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27 and through the weekend.
Concert at Symphony Hall
On the flip side, head over to Symphony Hall on Massachusetts Avenue in Boston to see a performance by singer-songwriter Tom Rush on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 8 p.m. The show will also feature the Jim Kweshin Jug Band, Bill Keith, Geoff Muldaur and Maria Muldaur, as well as Patty Larkin, Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion.
