Greater Boston Antique Toy & Collectible Show on Sunday

Check out toys from the 1880s all the way up to modern times.

Before you know it the holiday season will be upon us, and this weekend you can get a very head start on your toy shopping at the Greater Boston Antique Toy & Collectible Show & Sail.

For 30 years the Greater Boston Antique & Collectible Toy Show has been running, selling toys from trains of the 1880s to the Cabbage Patch kids of the 1980s, from cast iron to fine German tinplate.

This show will be 100 tables of childhood treasures, and a full line of collectible toys. The show features vintage Christmas and Halloween decorations, including paper mache Santas of the 1880s to plastic figure Halloween candy containers from the 1950s.

The show is good for the avid collector, or a child wanting a new toy.

The event is being held at the Holiday Inn, 55 Adriane Road, Dedham, on Sun., Sept. 29, starting at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be a follow-up holiday show on Dec. 8. Admission is $7/$5 with a coupon, or pay $25 to get in on early buying at 7 a.m. For discount coupon go to:  www.bostontoyshow.com.
