Pro Baseball

Does anyone out there with children have the time or the inclination to sit through a three to four hour baseball game? Does anyone out there who actually grew up in West Roxbury like what they see when they walk or drive down Centre St? Do you spend a lot of time in Boomerangs or Family Dollar? Do you find the need, at each block you cross, to get a mortgage, a manicure, and a slice of pizza? Do you share the Utopian view of certain local columnists regarding the wonders that West Roxbury has to offer?
How about those of you who are new to West Roxbury? And by new I mean you have lived here less than 15 years and didn't take the Orange Line to High School.
   Do you remember the ugliness of forced busing? Do you remember the names of the friends you never saw the autumn after it started?  Do you remember the sacrifices your parents made to send you to private schools because West Roxbury High was not,nor will ever be an option? Do you remember Dixon's, Value Village, HanleyS and Cronin's. Boston is going to be in ten years what Detroit is now. Dress it up, give it a name, try to turn it into Wellesley or Licoln.I love it but  this neighborhood is a hot mess getting worse.
