A recent $20 million renovation and expansion enabled Mount Pleasant Home to increase capacity from 44 to 60 private bedrooms, all with private bath. Founded in 1901, Mount Pleasant Home has provided housing and supportive services for Boston’s most needy elders, including those of very low income who have no other residential or care options and are at high risk for homelessness, premature institutionalization, and social isolation.
