Im wondering if this busniess has changed hands, quietly. Last 2 times I was there food was just okay and the service was horrible, no table settings had to get my own and it was not busy.

I have always had fantastic food. The staff are terrific, polite and helpful when wanting to try something new.The cafe is spotless and has a wonderful atmospher.I love to bring family and friends to the Spring St.Cafe. We have never been desappointed !! So go and enjoy, you will be glad you did !!!
Hey Terry it's not a western if you change the peppers to mushrooms. You were just being cheap! Love the food there. Only place around the omelets are made in a pan. We go there day and night and always have a great time and great food.
Don't bother going to Spring Street Cafe for breakfast. Staff is very inattentive -- not offered a coffee refill until the very end of the meal; slow to pick up the check; did not acknowledge our good-bye when leaving the restaurant. The kicker? we were told we could not substitute mushrooms for peppers in the Western Omelet. To do so, we would have to pay more! The wait person said, "Hey, I just work here." Not a great attitude. The food was OK, not inspiring.
Best burgers for lunch! Excellent food, great service! Friendly staff!

I'm wondering what's up too? Last time I wanted to go for breakfast my mother was visiting as my son had made his First Communion so we thought we would go the Sunday after. We waited about ten minutes chatting with the family waiting in front of us. One of the gals told us to take the table @ the end, another gal starting yelling at my mother that it wasn't ready?! I guess when we walked back towards the door she thought she should yell & repeat. I said that's fine, we should go. She seemed stressed, one didn't know what the other was doing. We just got back in the car and tried somewhere else. My mother ( who visits once a year) asked me what just happened there? Probably just a really, crazy weekend, but who needs to deal with that attitude/behavior? There is plenty of places to have breakfast in the area.
