The West Roxbury Historical Society is inside the West Roxbury Public Library. The Historical Society's room is on the lowest floor and locked. The Historical Society is open only Thursday nights from 6 to 8pm.
According to the the Society, "The first meeting of the West Roxbury Historical Society was held on April 29, 1931 in the home of Miss Ester and Miss Elizabeth Atwill. The house was located at the current CVS site." Bob Murphy has been the president of the society since 1999.
