A Safe & Cigarettes Stolen in Gas Station Robbery in West Roxbury

The following article is based on a Boston Police report.

  A brash thief stole a safe with several hundred dollars during an overnight robbery of a West Roxbury gas station. Around 1:09 a.m., on May 10, Boston Police responded to the One Energy gas station at 1465 VFW Parkway. The glass portion of the door to the gas station was smashed in multiple pieces on the floor, according to a Boston Police report. Police were able to speak with a witness of the crime, who saw a suspect banging on the door of the gas station, and make off with a heavy box. The heavy box was the overnight safe containing $644 in cash, according to a gas station employee. Also, two cartons of cigarettes were also missing. Lagrange Street Home Broken Into, 'Tiffany' Jewelry Stolen

The following article is based on a Boston Police report.

  A West Roxbury home on Lagrange Street was broken into, and "Tiffany" jewelry was stolen -- but a possible clue may have been left behind. The homeowner of 141 Lagrange St., told Boston Police his home was broken into on May 7 while he and his wife were out during different time periods, according to a Boston Police report.  The victim said two Tiffany brand rings valued at $250 each, a necklace valued at $150, and an Android cell phone, were all missing from the home. Police noted that the rear basement door had been forced open, and the lock was damaged.  The victims said the drawers upstairs were rifled through, and that a black glove was left on the bureau, which did not belong to the victims, according to a Boston Police report.

Pregnant Woman Breaks Up Vicious Dog Attack at Allandale Woods

A 6-month pregnant Roslindale woman got in the middle of an unleashed dog attacking her husband and own dog at Allandale Woods. The victim reported the incident to police and said he, his wife, and leashed dog were walking in the woods on the morning of May 6, when an unleashed rottweiler attached his dog, according to a Boston Police report. The victim was bitten on his left hand, wrist, and right forearm, and went to Faulkner Hospital for treatment. The owner of the unleashed dog allegedly told the victim that the dog had all his shots. The owned of the unleashed dog told the victim that his dog wasn't leashed because it's rare to see people in Allandale Woods. FBI: Boston Police Helped Investigate Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011

The Boston Joint Terrorism Task Force, a unit made up of federal, state and local law enforcement officials, had access to a file on Tamerlan Tsarnaev, according to the FBI.

  Though Boston’s police commissioner said he did not know about the now-deceased Boston Marathon bomber until the day he was killed, an FBI official said at least some Boston police officers had access to a file on him through a shared database. Evidence Points to Boston Marathon Bombers' Connection to Waltham Murders

Investigators are looking into the possible involvement of the accused Boston Marathon bombers in the 2011 triple homicide in Waltham.

Authorities have amassed evidence indicating accused Boston Marathon bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokar Tsarnaev possibly killed three men in a Waltham home in 2011, according to ABC News. Investigators have "mounting evidence" including forensics pointing toward the Tsarnaev brothers," says ABC.  Tamerlan was killed in an April 19 shootout with police in Watertown and Dzhorkar was later captured hiding in a boat in Watertown.  After the April 15 bombings, federal and state authorities began investigating the brothers' possible link to the murders after learning Tamerlan was a close friend of one of the victims, Brendan Mess. Corrib Pub Kitchen Closed Temporarily Due to Stove Fire, Bar Open

No one was injured in a kitchen fire that was put out with an extinguisher, according to Boston Fire officials.

A small stove fire has temporarily closed the Corrib Pub's kitchen in West Roxbury. But the bar is open, said an employee. The fire was contained to the stove, according to Boston Fire Department Spokesperson Steve MacDonald. Fire crews responded to the scene around 5:50 p.m. tonight. No one was injured, but patrons did need to leave the restaurant, according to MacDonald. As with any fire involving food, a food inspector was called to the scene.

Cops Seize 'Lemon Diesel' Marijuana During Spring Street Traffic Stop

The following article is based on a Boston Police report.

  A traffic stop for a defective headlight led to the seizure of marijuana on Spring Street in West Roxbury. A Boston Police officer pulled over the driver of Honda Prelude on May 5 around 10:43 p.m. for a passenger side headlight being out, according to a Boston Police report.  An officer detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the car and allegedly observed ash on the driver's lap. The driver allegedly showed the cop a ceramic pipe and said he had smoked marijuana earlier, according to a Boston Police report. The driver admitted to having more marijuana in the center console, which was seized by police. Ongoing Neighbor Problem on Carol Circle in West Roxbury

  On May 4, a West Roxbury resident walked into Boston Police District E-5 to follow up on a 911 call for a noise complaint at 8 Carol Circle she had earlier that morning at 1 a.m., according to a Boston Police report.  The victim said that after police left she heard banging on the wall coming from her neighbor's apartment, and heard someone say, "That's what you get bitch. That's why your car got messed up."  The police report noted this is an ongoing problem between neighbors.

Home Depot Employee Admits to Stealing $2000

The following article is based on a Boston Police report and where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

  An employee of Home Depot in West Roxbury was arrested after allegedly admitting he had stolen approximately $2000 in cash. On April 30, around 12:11 p.m., Giovanni Coley, of 42 Mildred Ave. #1, Mattapan, was arrested and charged with larceny in a building of more than $250, according to a Boston Police report. Boston Police were called to the Home Depot to meet with the District Asset Protection Manager, who told officers the employee, Coley, had admitted to stealing about $2000 in cash. The manager said that since February the store auditing sheets had consistently been showing cash shortages in each of their four self-checkout registers. Cars Broken Into on Perham Street in West Roxbury

The following article is based on Boston Police reports.

  The owners of four vehicles on Perham Street in West Roxbury reported to Boston Police their cars were broken into during a recent night. The four vehicles, parked at 38 and 41 Perham St., were broken into sometime during April 29 into the following morning, according to Boston Police reports. The owners of all the vehicles said belongings were thrown around in the car, some outside of the car, but that nothing was apparently stolen. One victim owning both cars said she had left the vehicles unlocked.
