Allandale Woods
Centre St & Vfw Pkwy, West Roxbury, MA 02132

Allandale Woods is a 90-acre property situated between Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury. It is owned by Boston's ParksMore and Recreation Department, the Conservation Commission and private lands that are subject to city conservation restrictions.

In recent years, trails have been refurbished by the Boston Natural Areas Network and youth groups. The crews have worked hard to remove invasive species throughout the woods. Originally, the Appalachian Mountain Club built trails in 1992 through the woods.

The woods are a great place to relax, take a stroll and enjoy the maple and oak trees, with or without a dog.

There are several entrances, which are not marked well. The main entrance is behind the Church of the Annunciation on the VFW Parkway near the intersection of Centre Street. There are small signs at the entrances, but they can be easily missed.
