Hopefully, the City of Boston Animal and Adoption Shelter in Roslindale has what you're looking for. Tucked away on Mahler Road (off Washington Street) in Roslindale, it's Boston's city pound. The shelter handles all stray dogs found within the city, so it's a good place to call if your pet is lost, or report that it's lost. For lost or found pets the shelter is open Mon-Sat 8 a.m.- 4 p.m., Tue. until 8 p.m. Boston Animal Control officers are on a 24-hour seven-day a week schedule.
