O'Connor and Bakas Among New West Roxbury YMCA Board Members
Four familiar faces named as new board members of the West Roxbury YMCA.
Some familiar faces were unanimously voted onto the West Roxbury YMCA Board of Advisors - Janet Bakas, Anne Green, Robert McLaughlin and Jack O’Connor. Many people may recognize Janet Bakas with West Roxbury Main Streets, as well is the health care industry for the past 17 years, where she currently works at Faulkner Hospital and Harvard Vanguard. YMCA leaders praised Bakas' instrumental involvement in raising thousands for the Jimmy Fund and Main Streets through the “Pitching In” event. I would love to see something good happen at the Y. I was a member years ago, but had to cancel because you could never get a machine, and the bathrooms were never cleaned. Maybe new faces will make new changes. more ›
