Pills, Cash Stolen from Corey Street by Home Health Care Worker in West Roxbury

The following article is based on a Boston Police report.

  Corey Street residents reported to Boston Police that a home health care employee very likely stole more than 100 prescription pills from their West Roxbury home. Police spoke with the victim's daughter who said approximately 55 Oxycodone and 58 Lorezapam pills, as well as at least $1,300 in cash, was stolen from their home on May 24, according to a Boston Police report. The victim's daughter told police that a home health care worker had been at the home from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and later that night it was realized the medications and money was missing.  The victim's contacted the home health care service and were told the employee had been terminated, and could not get anymore info on the suspect.

Wire Cutters, Wooden Pry Bar, Lead to Arrest in West Roxbury

  Boston Police allegedly witnessed a Roxbury man trying to break into a West Roxbury home using a wooden board as a pry board. On May 23, around 3:04 p.m., Craig Donahue, of 2297 Washington St., Roxbury, was arrested and charged with attempted breaking and entering into a residence, and daytime possesion of burglarious tools, according to a Boston Police report. Upon arrival officers observed the suspect on the front porch at 5091 Washington St., in between the screen door, allegedly trying to gain entry by using the wooden board. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, along with Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, school and city personnel, announced strategies to have a safe summer in the city. Boston Police also identified 10 hot spots for intense enforcement, quality of life and services focus:

West Roxbury Man Arrested on Warrant for Selling Pills

  A West Roxbury man was arrested on a warrant for selling prescription pills by Boston Police during a citywide active warrant operation. On May 17, around 9:15 a.m., Colby A. Dancy-Chandler, of 4827 Washington St., West Roxbury, was arrested on an active straight warrant issued from West Roxbury District Court on May 15, 2013, for distributon of a class B drug, according to a Boston Police report. Dancy-Chandler's arrest was one of severals involved in another Operation: P.A.W.S. (Proactive Warrant Service), made across the city. West Roxbury Man Arrested for Yelling 'White Power!' While Friend Charged with OUI

Bellevue Street Home Robbed of Electronics, Furs, Hockey Bag and More

  A Bellevue Street home in West Roxbury was broken into and robbed of clothes, and a television, which was ripped from a wall mount. The victim reported to Boston Police that he came home at night on May 15 and saw his front door not fully closed, according to a Boston Police report. Only a dogwalker was supposed to be in the home during the day. The victim reported clothing including five suits, five pairs of pants, five blazers, 20 dress shirts, an X-Box with five games, Bose headphones and receiver console, a 26-inch Samsung flatscreen television, a Panasonic camcorder, a Microsoft tv system, and an Easton hockey bag, were all stolen. Dog Shot by BB Gun on Lagrange Street in West Roxbury

  A dog that got loose from its Potomac Street home was quickly found after letting out a yelp from being shot by a BB gun in a neighbor's West Roxbury home. The owner of the dog reported the incident that occurred on May 13, after an 8-year-old Wheaten terrier got loose from the yard at 76 Potomac St., according to a Boston Police report. The dog was out for not more than five minutes when a friend who was doing work on the home, where the dog got out from, went to look for the dog.  While looking for the dog, the witness heard the dog yelp from 525 Lagrange St., and then the dog came limping from behind the home at that address. A Safe & Cigarettes Stolen in Gas Station Robbery in West Roxbury

  A brash thief stole a safe with several hundred dollars during an overnight robbery of a West Roxbury gas station. Around 1:09 a.m., on May 10, Boston Police responded to the One Energy gas station at 1465 VFW Parkway. The glass portion of the door to the gas station was smashed in multiple pieces on the floor, according to a Boston Police report. Police were able to speak with a witness of the crime, who saw a suspect banging on the door of the gas station, and make off with a heavy box. The heavy box was the overnight safe containing $644 in cash, according to a gas station employee. Also, two cartons of cigarettes were also missing.
