Prime Minister of Ireland Endorses Gormley for Unofficial Mayor of West Roxbury

Prime Minister of Ireland Enda Kenny had a quick meeting with unofficial mayor nominee Richie Gormley while in Beantown - and also met with Governor Deval Patrick.

  On Thursday night, Prime Minister of Ireland Enda Kenny got to sneak in some time with Richie Gormley - a nominee for the unofficial mayor of West Roxbury. Kenny and Gormley caught up on old times, enjoying some laughs about West Roxbury, Ireland and international diplomacy. Kenny also endorsed Gormley as the unofficial mayor of West Roxbury. The winner of the unscientific poll has been not been declared yet as West Roxbury Patch officials sort through write-in and absentee ballots. Kenny, officially known as the Taoiseach, was elected on March 9, 2011, having previously served as cabinet minister for tourism and trade and minister of state for education and labor.
