Home Depot Nighttime Break-in, Cash Registers Broken Into

An alarm around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday morning brought Boston Police to the Home Depot in West Roxbury on the VFW Parkway.

The Home Depot was broken into early Sunday morning, as Boston Police found cash registers open, with loose change left on the floor. On Nov. 11 around 1:45 a.m., an alarm sounded sending Boston Police units to Home Depot to investigate. Officers noticed the employee entrance door appeared to be forced open, according to a Boston Police report. Additional units were requested to clear the building for suspects, and no suspects were found.  In the front of the store there were three cash registers left open, with loose change strewn on the floor. An assistant manager informed officers that no cash, except loose change, is left in registers overnight.  Detectives responded to the scene to take photos of the scene, and dust for fingerprints.
