A Black and Gold Reward for Holy Name Students' Record-Setting Pajama Drive

Boston Bruins mascot Blades visited the school on Friday. Students also earned a visit from a Bruins player, to be named later.

Holy Name School students emerged as champions of Cradles to Crayons's Boston Bruins Pajama Drive. As a reward, they'll be visited by another champion, this one of the Stanley Cup variety. By collecting 2,006 pairs of pajamas, Holy Name students earned a visit from a Boston Bruins player to be named later. The number is the greatest ever raised in the drive's five-year history, according to Cradles to Crayons. As the drive reached its apex last week, Bruins mascot Blades made a visit to the school to thank students for their hard work. Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization that "collects new and like-new children's items through grassroots community drives and corporate donations," according to its website.
