Republican US. Sen. Scott Brown handed out some bake sale items, greeted supporters, and waved to drivers through the Holy Name Rotary on Tuesday mid-morning.
Republican US Senator Scott Brown's campaign bus pulled into the Holy Name Rotary to the chants of supporters mid Tuesday morning. As Brown and his wife, Gail Huff, made their way onto one of the traffic islands in the Rotary, Elizabeth Warren supporters chanted against Brown from the Holy Name School's parking lot. "Go Scott! Go!" chanted Brown's supporters, as did Elizabeth Warren supporters, as well as "No Scott! No!" from the Warren crowd. "People over party!" was a very loud cheer from the more than 30 Brown supporters, which after a while Brown joked, "All right, all right. They get it." Brown waved to drivers as they passed through the Holy Name Rotary. He was greeted by several St. Theresa's School teachers, like Coley Ferraro …

Republican US Sen. Scott Brown has not confirmed whether he will attend the rejuvenated Election Eve tradition.
Democratic US Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren has confirmed she will be at the revitalized Truman Rally in West Roxbury on the eve of Election Day. Her opponent, Republican US Senator Scott Brown has not confirmed whether he will attend the nonpartisan political rally starting at 7 p.m. But organizers are hopeful he will confirm his participating in the nonpartisan rally. The Truman Rally was rebooted last year, after being on hiatus for several years from the Parkway political scene. From 1981 until 2006 the Truman Rally was a well-loved neighborhood tradition. he event was considered, and now looks to be once again - a vital stop on the campaign trail for candidates due to the hundreds of supporters, spectators, and would-be …

Both camps issued statements declining the planned exchange.
Both Republican Senator Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren bowed out of Tuesday's final televised debate, citing safety concerns surrounding Hurricane Sandy. Brown's camp was the first to announce its decision, releasing a statement at 4:22 p.m.. "The Scott Brown campaign today announced that out of concern for the hardship faced by people in the path of Hurricane Sandy that he will not be participating in tomorrow's fourth and final debate," said Brown Communication Director Colin Reed. "It is simply not appropriate to go forward with a political debate when a disaster strikes. The focus for all of us before, during and after the storm needs to be on emergency response and disaster relief, not campaigns and politics…
The Democratic challenger and Republican incumbent in the much-watched race for the Senate are at odds on whether the reschedule their final debate.
Democratic Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren wants to hold a final debate with Scott Brown after all — but it's not clear the incumbent Republican Senator will agree to it. On Monday, both camps in the down-to-the-wire election cancelled a debate that was to have been held Tuesday night. They cited safety concerns surrounding Hurricane Sandy. "It is simply not appropriate to go forward with a political debate when a disaster strikes," a Brown press aide said in a statement on Monday. "The focus for all of us before, during and after the storm needs to be on emergency response and disaster relief, not campaigns and politics." Warren's camp followed suit shortly afterward on Monday with their own statement. "Elizabeth believes the debate …

Regional dailies Cape Cod Times and The Patriot Ledger throw their weight behind incumbent Republican Senator Scott Brown over challenger Elizabeth Warren.
Challenger Elizabeth Warren may lead in the most recent polling, but incumbent Senator Scott Brown has racked up more key endorsements in the high-profile race. The Quincy-based Patriot Ledger and Cape Cod Times both endorsed Brown on Saturday. Brown picked up the Boston Herald editorial board's support earlier in the week. Both The Patriot Ledger and Times cover areas that Brown easily carried in 2010, when he defeated Attorney General Martha Coakley for the senate seat, left vacant when Ted Kennedy passed away. The editorial board at the Patriot Ledger wrote that both candidates would make fine senators, but thought Brown's early track record has been strong enough to merit a return to the upper chamber. "As with many of our federal …

The Boston Herald endorsed Senator Scott Brown on Wednesday; his Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren has recently had several endorsements as well.
The Boston Herald endorsed Senator Scott Brown on Wednesday, praising what the newspaper called his "fiscal sanity and bipartisanship." Brown would be more likely than his Democratic foe, the Herald editorial board argued, to stay out of lockstep with their respective party leadership. "Democrats have made much of the fact that, should he win election to a full term, Brown would represent a vote in favor of the current GOP leadership. But Brown at least has a track record of breaking with that same GOP leadership and representing a more moderate voice," wrote the Herald editorial board. "We’re less certain that Elizabeth Warren would challenge Harry Reid & Co. on important issues." Endorsement season is in full swing, as the election …
With Warren holding a small lead in the polls, and Brown getting a key endorsement from the Boston Herald, who do you think has the momentum coming into the final days of the election?
Democrat Elizabeth Warren is up by five points over incumbent Republican Scott Brown in the latest WBUR/MassINC poll of the Massachusetts senate race. That's a near-total reversal of the BUR poll last month, which had Brown up by four on Oct. 9. In fact, Warren has been trending upwards in most recent polling. The New York Times' FiveThirtyEight blog has Warren up by four in an average of recent polls. The blog, which uses advanced statistical modeling akin to baseball sabermetrics (think Moneyball) gives Warren an 89 percent chance of winning the election. But Brown's got some significant energy on his side as well. He's been barnstorming the state with political luminaries like Senator John McCain and today won the Boston herald's …

Campaign workers at Sen. Brown's Spring Street office got a special surprise visit from the candidate himself on Monday night.
US Sen. Scott Brown and his wife Gail Huff stopped by his campaign office on Spring Street in West Roxury on Monday night. While phone bankers finished up another round of calls, Brown spoke with campaign worker Lew Martin, who told the senator he was calling Brookline. Brown asked, "How's it in Brookline?" After a so-so response from Martin, Brown said he'd like to get 40 to 42 percent of the vote in Brookline, a very Democratic-leaning city. As Brown's wife Gail Huff greeted campaign workers, Brown joked with one worker, "How come you're not on the phone?!" After all the calls ended, Brown and Huff thanked his supporters. He told them they started off at Lowell at 5 a.m., then they split and he headed to Billerica. "The energy level…
