LeanWorks Focus Shifting to More Catering, Prepared Meals in West Roxbury

LeanWorks' menu has changed at its 75 Spring Street location, and while it's changing, don't expect it to be leaving anytime soon, said co-owner Shea Coakley.

  LeanWorks opened last year on Spring Street in West Roxbury, providing a healthy fast food option. And while the business has done well, the owners are making some business model changes. "For all intents and purposes, it's shifting," said co-owner Shea Coakley to West Roxbury Patch. "We’ve had a fundamental shift in the way we’re bringing the food to the masses. We’re becoming more of a prepared meals concepts with catering distribution and all that kind of stuff." The menu has already changed, but Coakley was quick to point out the model of providing fast food style meals for 500 calories or less, is still a tenet of the business. LeanWorks - A Healthy Fast-Food Option in West Roxbury

It tastes delicious like fast-food, but without the high calorie intake. New restaurant open on Spring Street in the Shaw's Plaza.

  When you walk into LeanWorks you are often greeted by one of the happy owners, Shea Coakley. Behind the counter, signs show you how to order, and how many calories you will be ingesting. A Philly steak and cheese, a Memphis BBQ sauce pork sandwich are just two options - and they're healthy options, too! "Good food, reinvented" is one of the mottos on the wall of the new restaurant in the Shaw's Plaza on Spring Street. My husband and I went last night. My husband was somewhat reluctant but went on my recommendation I had been previously and really liked it. My husband said he was pleasantly surprised at how good the burger and baked fries were and that he would go back. I had the turkey burger again - very good!
