Shaw's Shoplifter Gives Back $343 of Goods After Being Confronted in West Roxbury

  An alleged shoplifter trying to steal a cartload of goods was able to get away from a Shaw's employee after being confronted in the parking lot in West Roxbury. On Jan. 28 around 11:40 a.m., Boston Police spoke with a loss prevention employee of Shaw's who said an unknown female was observed attempting to conceal items in the pharmacy area of the store, according to a Boston Police report. The suspect allegedly put a large number of items in a shopping cart, and then left the store without stopping at any points of sale. The total amount of items in the cart totaled $343.58. The employee said he stopped the suspect at the curb outside the store, and said, "Ma'am, you didn't pay for your items." He said the woman allegedly replied, "Oh, …

Half a Kilo of Coke, Heroin Found in Car of Suspect, Who Has Surgically Enhanced Fingerprints

  Boston Police executed a search warrant of a hidden compartment in a vehicle finding 500 grams of cocaine, and 50 grams of heroin, after arresting a multiple-aliased suspect in West Roxbury. All of the suspect's righthand fingertips were either burned or digitally-enhanced, according to a Boston Police report. The suspect was booked as Omar Nieves, of 525 Essex St. #29, Lawrence, Mass., on Jan. 30 around 3:04 p.m. But he was found in possession of a Puerto Rican driver's license with the name of Jose Vizany Pabon, according to a Boston Police report. Police: Woman Removed From Holy Name School Had GPS Ankle Bracelet, Spoke of Stalking Incident

  A Boston Police report about a woman wearing a GPS ankle monitoring bracelet removed from the Holy Name School provided more details about an incident that prompted the school's principal to send out a letter to parents. On Jan. 10, around 1:52 p.m., a school day, Boston Police responded to a 911 call indicating a "female entered into the school building and was now wandering around" according to a Boston Police report. Police were able to locate the woman, Kathleen Kearney, 45, of Canton, Mass., who appeared confused, according to police. Kearney was wearing a GPS ankle monitoring bracelet for stalking former Red Sox General Manager Theo Epstein at his Illinois home - but the GPS device was not seen by anyone at Holy Name at first. …

Fantasia's Party Decorations Broken Into, Cash Register Robbed in West Roxbury

  Fantasia's Party Decorations glass front door was broken and the cash register broken into in West Roxbury on Jan. 25. Around 12:52 p.m., Boston Police observed the broken glass door, and the owner said $30 had been taken from the cash register, according to a Boston Police report. The owner said she had driven past the business at 5288 Washington St. around 9:15 a.m. and did not notice any damage to the glass door. While investigating the location, police noted the rear door to the building was unlocked, the second floor of the building seemed to be in disarray with exposed wiring, trash, debris, beer bottles, and other hazardous conditions. Victim Believes Money, iPod Stolen While at Work Out World in West Roxbury

  A West Roxbury resident reported to Boston Police that she believes someone stole $140 from her wallet and iPod while at Work Out World in West Roxbury. The victim told police the theft happened on Jan. 24 from 4:20 to 5 p.m., according to a Boston Police report. The victim notified her credit card companies and no phony charges had occurred.

Man Who Allegedly Crashed into Beethoven School Wooded Area Cited for Negligent Operation

On MLK Jr. Day, after a two-car accident on Washington Street, the cited driver allegedly drove through a fence at the rear of the school. The following article is based on a Boston Police report, and charges do not indicate a conviction.

  A driver who allegedly drove through a fence at the Beethoven School on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, landing in a wooded area, was issued a citation for negligent operation of a motor vehicle. The driver was not arrested, so his name has not been released. A criminal complaint has been filled out and forwarded to the West Roxbury District Court. Boston Police responded to the Beethoven School around 1:14 p.m. and saw two vehicles at the school, according to a Boston Police report. One vehicle was parked inside the school's parking lot. the second vehicle was in the wooded area behind the school approximately 200 feet from the entrance way. West Roxbury Man Believes Credit Cards Stolen While at YMCA

  A West Roxbury man told Boston Police he believes three of his credit cards were lifted from his wallet while at the West Roxbury YMCA. The victim said somewhere between 6:15 and 7 p.m. on Jan. 21 that his American Express, Chase and First Republic credit cards were stolen from his wallet, according to a Boston Police report. He said all three cards were used at the Target store in Watertown for a total of $1500. The victim had notified the Watertown Police Department, who advised him to file a report with the Boston Police, and Watertown will also investigate.

$82,000 Bobcat Construction Truck Stolen from Uno's in West Roxbury

The piece of construction equipment went missing during a two-day period while at the Uno's Corporate Headquarters.

  A yellow Cat Bobcat construction truck valued at $82,000 was reported stolen from the Uno's Corporate Headquarters in West Roxbury. The construction vehicle went missing sometime between 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 15 and 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 17 from 100 Charles Park Road. Uno's has security cameras on its property and will be providing Boston Police with the footage, according to a Boston Police report. And while not related, Uno's recently hired a new CEO and President, and are no longer in bankruptcy.

Watch Your Things - iPhone Stolen from Community Room at Hancock Village in West Roxbury

The following article is based on a Boston Police report.

  A West Roxbury resident reported to Boston Police that his phone went missing while at the community room in the Hancock Village apartments. On Jan. 11, the victim walked into District E-5 to say that he and his wife, and baby were in the room and his wife put down an Apple iPhone. They later realized the phone was missing. The victim told police there had been a male in the room while they were, and provided a description of the man, according to a Boston Police report. The listed address of Hancock Village is 298 Independence Drive in West Roxbury.

Drunk Roxbury Man Charged with Being Disorderly Person at West Roxbury Nursing Home

  Boston Police charged a man with being a disorderly person after he allgedly refused to leave a West Roxbury nursing home. On Jan. 9 around 11:01 p.m., Curtis W. Lee, of 794 Massachusetts Ave., Roxbury, was arrested and charged with being a disorderly person.  Police spoke with the head nurse at the Roscommon West Roxbury nursing home at 5060 Washington St., who said the visiting suspect was drunk and refusing to leave, according to a Boston Police report. Visiting hours are 7 to 11 p.m. and when staff members told the suspect it was time to go he refused to leave.  The suspect sat down on a chair on the front porch and refused to leave, even after officers asked him to leave several times, according to a Boston Police report.
