Catholic Memorial's Knights are #2 in ESPN.com's Top 25 High School hockey poll.
This year's Catholic Memorial Knights varsity hockey team is being led by a high-scoring center from South Boston. ESPN.com has a great profile on senior and Southie resident Liam Coughlin. Coughlin leads all Division 1 skaters and leads for the statewide scoring lead with 32 points (21 goals, 11 assists), according to the stats kept by masshshockey.com. Unfortunately, CM fell to #4 St. John's Prep on Saturday, 4-1, in which Coughlin was the only Knight able to net a goal. CM was ranked #2 at that point.

"It obviously didn't come out in our favor, but we were all excited. It was a great day." Early on, it looked like the game may have lived up to the hype for the Knights; CM dominated play in the scoreless first period, outshooting the Eagles 12-3.
