BLS Soccer Coach Hopes Two West Roxbury Girls Will Add Scoring Punch
Team hopes to rebound from a tough 2010 season.
The Boston Latin School’s girls soccer team had seen better days before last season’s 1-15 season. Fourth-year head coach Andrea Encarnacao Martin hopes that even better days wait ahead. “I’m hoping that we’ll have the most successful season we’ve had in the history of the program,” she said. Those words may seem strong given 2010’s slow plod to a last place finish in the Dual County League, but the Wolfpack certainly have things to be optimistic about. While the squad struggled to score goals all season long last season, its defense and goal differential improved dramatically following an 8-0 loss to Fontbanne Academy on October 14.
