Victim Believes Money, iPod Stolen While at Work Out World in West Roxbury

The following article is based on a Boston Police report.

  A West Roxbury resident reported to Boston Police that she believes someone stole $140 from her wallet and iPod while at Work Out World in West Roxbury. The victim told police the theft happened on Jan. 24 from 4:20 to 5 p.m., according to a Boston Police report. The victim notified her credit card companies and no phony charges had occurred.

I joined with a multi-gym membership at the Norwood location so that I can work out at the West Roxbury one when it was open. One day, out of the blue, the West Roxbury location wasn't allowing multi-gym members from Norwood. Something about being owned by two diferent corporations. Work Out World Employee Locker Lock-Cutting Leads to Jewelry Theft

A confusing situation of a shared locker leads to one member losing thousands in jewelry.

  A member of Work Out World told District E-5 officers that he had locked his possessions in a locker and when he came back it had been cut off his locker, and about $6,000 worth of jewelry was missing. The front desk attendant told police she had cut the lock off after a male guest came to her and said someone had placed a lock on his locker. The employee told police she made an announcement on the loud speaker asking for the owner of the lock to come and remove it, but no one came forward, so she cut off the lock. Later the victim came and said someone had cut the lock of his locker and two items of jewelry valued at $6,000 was gone, according to a Boston Police report.
