About Christopher

Christopher Treacy was born with a pair of over-sized 1970s headphones attached to his ears. This made becoming a music critic for the Boston Herald, Boston Phoenix, Bay Windows and numerous other outlets seem like a natural occurrence. Having since had the headphones surgically removed, Chris can now keep his ears to the street in order to report community news for Patch.com while he daydreams about moving to Austin, TX.

Carol, thanks for the clarification on that - obviously things got a little mixed up and I'm fixing them now.

Hi Christopher - AlliancExchange is at Flatbread Pizza and Sacco's Bowl Haven, 45 Day St., Davis Square, on Tuesday, April 12 to benefit the Rainforest Scholars Program (Saving the Rainforest, One Child at a Time). The Patch says that evening/that venue will benefit the Capuano School. We'd love to partner with the Capuano School sometime, but wonder if some folks might be confused about where Flatbread's donation will go that Tuesday evening.

Christopher,

I wanted to pass on some information to you about a rally to prevent the displacement of local businesses and residents in Somerville. The rally will be on Thursday April 7 at 5:30 at City Hall, where the Planning Board will be meeting to discuss plans to knock down 378-390 Somerville Ave and convert the property to luxury condos and retail spaces.

I hope you will be able to report on this issue of concern to all of Somerville and Union Square in particular. Thank you.
