Candlelight Vigil Planned in West Roxbury for Fallen Firefighters

The vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 28.

Citizens in the Boston area are invited to join local officials and ParkwayPeople.org for a candlelight vigil in West Roxbury to honor the two Boston firefighters who were killed in action this week.

The vigil will allow for residents and neighbors to gather in memory of Boston Fire Lt. Edward Walsh and Firefighter Michael Kennedy, who were both killed in a massive Back Bay fire Wednesday

The vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday in front of the West Roxbury Fire Station, according to ParkwayPeople.org, a nonprofit geared at helping to build and support the West Roxbury and Roslindale communities. A priest from a local parish will be on hand to offer a prayer, as well.
